I have been privileged to perform this work numerous times. “The Confession Stone" was commissioned for Maureen Forrester in 1966. It is "Seven Songs of Mary", depicting Christ from birth through crucifixion based on the poems of Owen Dobson. Maureen used to take copies of the score with her wherever she went to give to students who wanted to be coached.
